The collection consists of over 14,600 photographs and negatives taken by Grube during the course of his work at Anchorage Community College and the University of Alaska Anchorage. The photographs and negatives depict classes, registration, commencements, field trips, faculty, students, buildings and building construction, receptions and banquets, the Fine Arts Fair, and other subjects.
